The K-12 Lakota Languages Education Endorsement for teaching Lakota Language only as per South
Dakota statute ARSD 24:15:06:29r has the following prerequisites:
- LAKL 110 Intensive Lakota I
- LAKL 111 Intensive Lakota II
The endorsement requires the following courses)…………………….……………………….24 credit hours:
- LAKL 210 Intensive Lakota III
- LAKL 211 Intensive Lakota IV
- LAKL 401 Lakota Linguistic Analysis I
- LAKL 402 Lakota Linguistic Analysis II
- NATV 110 Discipline of Native Studies
- SEED 499 Lakota Language Teaching Methods
- Internship
Note that to receive LLEAP funding, students must be completing or have already completed at
least a Bachelor's degree in another subject.
